Service Times & information:
Each week St Andrew's holds a number of services for corporate worship, fellowship and teaching:
Sunday:
9.00am :: Holy Communion
10.45am :: Community Worship with Sunday Club & Crèche
Tuesday:
9.30am :: Holy Communion
Sunday: 9.00am
Holy Communion
This service is more traditional in style than our 10.45am Service. The sung worship tends to be more hymn based although this is still led by one of our Worship Teams rather than the organ. The format of the service generally follows the Communion Liturgy and sharing Communion (bread & wine) is one of the focal points of the service, although there are occasions when the service follows a “Service of the Word” format and therefore it does not offer Communion. There are also regular Parade services for uniformed organisations (usually about 4 a year). This service tends to last about 1 hour.
(Tea & Coffee is served between these two services)
Sunday: 10.45am
Community Worship with Sunday Club & Crèche
This is the Family Service of St. Andrew's where there is provision of a Sunday Club and Crèche for children and young people. Although the service begins with everyone together, more often than not the children go into the Church Halls for relevant, aged based activities and teaching whilst the adults remain in the main church for Teaching. The exception to this is when we hold an All Age Family Service and everyone stays in the main church building. The style of the sung worship tends to be more contemporary along the lines of New Wine, Spring Harvest and it is lead by one of our Worship Teams. This service tends to be about 1 ½ hours long.
Tuesday:
9.30
Holy Communion
This is an informal Communion Service following the well known Communion Liturgy. This service tends to last about 45 minutes
In addition to these regular services, there is a number of other weekly gatherings that take place, the details of which are available from the Church Office.
